We are starting to gain inspiration for the spring
art show! We will start by painting
interesting materials and see what inspires us from there. Today we looked at what it’s like to paint on
plastic vertically. We also indulged an
urge that the majority of the class has seemed to enjoy exploring since the
beginning of the year – putting paint on our bodies. For some time now, it has seemed like a worthwhile
experience to allow the children to indulge in this impulse. It would be nice to see what happens when the
action is no longer novel.
We have also begun exploring a variety of spring
materials – today, potting soil and seeds were introduced. Tomorrow and Thursday, we’ll take a look at
the bulbs we’ll be growing over the next 6 weeks.
