Monday, September 22nd

Ethan and Flynn were given many opportunities to explore some new classroom experiences today.  With the addition of some new “toys” to the room, the boys were able to paly with gravity, weight, volume, gross motor movement, sound, and much more. 


Morning Meeting
  • Name songs and familiar songs
  • NEW! Shaking maracas in different ways
  • NEW! Helpful Demo:  picking up toys that end up on the ground

Language/Literacy
  • Familiar Favorites (with an emphasis on Pete the Cat)

Science/Discoveries
  • Pouring and Scooping – feathers and Pom-Poms
  • Variety Shakers (with 6 different substances/ items to affect the experience of the weight, sound, and visual of each “shaker”)
  • Does this fit?  Look it falls!  - a box with different size tubes and different size balls/ Pom-Poms 

Music/Movement
  • Free play in the gym

Art
  • Painting at the easel
