Wednesday, May 27th

As of late, the students seem particularly interested in using colorful, transparent items for light and shadow play.  There are times when a student may hold something up to see if it creates a colorful projection, and if it doesn’t, will toss the item aside.  Is it possible that these colorful shadows are more appealing?  Maybe it interests the students to have control over color in such a tangible way.

Natan connected these blocks at the light table and said, "Train."



Flynn wanting me to have a "bad guy" to run from, said: "Be bad, Nicki.  Be bad!"  

So I ran around as a monster eating socks off of children.

Tuesday, May 26th

Dear 1B families, 
I am sorry to report that there won’t be any photos today.  The SD cards with the photos Janet and I took have gone missing. We don’t have a ton of evidence on the subject, but the authorities are fairly sure that the culprit(s) of this act stands at about 3’ and is about two years of age. The suspects have been questioned and due to a similar event that occurred about a month ago, it is believed that the cards were inserted into Nicki’s CD drive on her computer.  The photos will be posted at a later date should the cards be found/ retrieved. 

We had a nice day.  The students had time to play at the projector and at the water table.  The students also used watercolor paints and enjoyed a really nice yoga class with Jennifer and French session with Brent.

Friday, May 22nd

We spent our time today at the water table and the projector.  The students have seemed to enjoy what we’ve been going directing with a different kind of curiosity.
