Thursday, May 14th

We had a nice day, here in 1B.  Highlights of today seemed to be music with Evan, and releasing our butterflies at the park!  It was really nice to see the group walk together to get to the park and to be so collectively gentile and excited when the butterfly tent was opened and the butterflies were released.  There also seems to be quite a bit of excitement having a conversation about the things we experience as a group, like releasing the butterflies.  Below is the conversation we all had upon returning from the park:

Janet:  Where are the butterflies now?
Noam: They fly away.
Janet:  Where did they fly to?
Noam: Up to the sky.
Janet:  Where did we take them to fly away?
Pearl:  To the park.
Janet:  Do you think we’ll see them again?
Noam:  No, they fly away.
Pearl:  Yes.
Janet:  Pearl, where do you think we’ll see them again?
Pearl: The park.
Janet:  Are we sad or happy that the butterflies went away?
Colette: Sad.
Pearl: Happy.
Janet:  Do you all remember how many butterflies flew away?
Ethan: Five.
Nicki:  Where you think the butterflies go in the sky?
Pearl: They go to mama.
Annabelle:  They go bye-bye.
Noam:  The butterflies go to mama’s house.
Nicki:  What do the butterflies do at home?
Colette:  They sleep.
Nicki:  Do butterflies have dreams?
Ethan: No.
Nicki:  What do butterflies eat?
Annabelle:  Busghetti.
Pearl:  Watermelon.
Avert:  Butterflies eat cookies.  I eat cookies!

Roaring like lions!

But not too loudly, because it might be scary for others.

Noam was eager to hold and touch the butterflies.  Almost everyone was eager to be near the net.  When a butterfly would take flights, many of the students would startle and seem a little scared.

One of the butterflies flew up and landed on my neck!  We looked at him!
