We journeyed to the park today with the interest in
spending the whole morning there. What we
did not expect is for the wind to be as disruptive while we tried to play! Although we didn’t stay quite as long as we
might have hoped to, it seemed like a fun experience to be surrounded by such a
powerful force. It was such an
interesting experience that we talked about the wind for the rest of the
afternoon!
At the park:
Noam: It’s
so windy. Nicki, I don’t like the wind.
Nicki: Why not?
Noam: We have to go back to school.
Noam: It’s winding on you, Janet!
Ethan: The flowers are windy.
Noam: Tell the flowers to stop.
Nicki: Why?
Noam: Because the flowers are windy. Bye
flowers!
Back in the classroom:
Janet: What
did we see at the park?
Noam: We see
the flowers.
Ethan:
Flowers!
Janet: Did
we feel anything?
Flynn: A big
wind.
Janet: Did
you like the big wind?
Ethan: Yes.
Nicki: What
makes the wind?
Flynn: A
big, big ghost.
Noam: Wind
was blowing my eyes.
Janet: Was it fast or slow?
Noam: Fast.
