We made it to the park to play in the sprinklers today. Water is a wonderful learning tool, especially when it can be played with outside - absent of worry about getting anything or anyone too wet. When water is poured or splashed or felt there is potential for learning. This material has so many endless possibilities for manipulation. Maybe that's part of what "fun" is; changing something in a variety of ways that amuses us. We made it back to school before it got too hot and all enjoyed lunch and some entertaining songs and some dancing.
We met for a short time as a group before heading to the park. Here, everyone dances while we greet each other by name with a song.
We've taken to playing with spray bottles and stopping to admire flowers on our walks to the park.
Elle seems to really enjoy having a bit of water to explore away from the sprinklers.
Teddy seems to like play with the water at the park in the same way that Elle does. Because of this, we thought Teddy could help us gather water for Elle to play with. Teddy seemed to enjoy the job.
Tommy says. "Bye, agua!"
