SS II - Thurs, Aug 6th

We did so much fun stuff today!  And it was all done as a group.  The children seem to have settled into being with their friends and functioning within a larger group setting. With this sort of development, it would seem that it is easier for the children to learn from each other.  The students seem more watchful of what others are doing and how it relates to or influence what they is doing.  This was particularly evident when we worked with frozen paints again today.  Working as a group, everyone was able to share individual experience and have a particular influence that they weren't even quite aware of.  It's clear looking at the finished piece of paper how this experience was a shared one, by looking at the different colors and what shapes were made.

We also ventured outside for a long ride/walk.  We have often stopped to admire a set of planters containing many beautiful assortments of flowers.  What we noticed today, were the variety of herbs also grown here.  We smelled and touched basil, two different kinds of mint, to name a few.
