Thursday, October 16th

One of our main focuses of the day was working with clay.  For many of the students this may have been a first experience with clay.  Each student seemed to have a different approach to the material and how he or she decided to use it throughout the classroom.

Music with Evan.

Pretending to sleep with Evan.

High-Fives for Evan before returning to class.

Getting the clay out!

Yikes!  That's heavy.  James wanted to place all the clay in my hand.

Taking a break from clay to play in the kitchen.

Pearl and Janet talking about what the students are doing.

We found james using the clay with our baby dolls.

Annabelle and Colette are drawn to see what the Pre-K kids are doing.  At first they wave the girls just wave.

Then, the Pre-K kids start giving High-Fives!  The girls loved it!

James gives hunks of clay to Daisy.

Pearl pokes the clay in passing.

Daisy laughing from the activity James has created with the clay holding.

"Mommy's shoes, mommy's shoes," Annabelle says while grabbing Janet's shoes.

Misha intently worked at these magnet tiles for some time.

More clay exploration with the baby.
