Tuesday, October 28th

At Annabelle’s house Halloween is a favorite among holidays.  Because of this, Annabelle’s mom, April, wanted to plan a festive day for 1B.  We snacked on clementine pumpkins and each student decorated a small pumpkin.  There’s something special about sharing the things that we love – it can build excitement and meaning for others and contribute to the strength of a community.  April and Annabelle, thank you for sharing the joy you both have for this very fun time of year!

Pearl talking about the colors she wants on her duck costume.

Putting the shoes back on the scarecrow.

Hanging!  The first time I've seen Colette do this.

Pearl remembered that we usually use the bench at Circle Time.  She started to take the pumpkins off the bench so that we could proceed as routine.

April brought us spiders!  We added them to the web housing our handprint spiders.

French!

Pearl, pausing to look at the paint on her arm.

Annabelle loves to try on the different shoes in the room!  I think mine looked pretty cute on her.

Even as Janet and I began to prepare for lunch, Pearl and Colette were still focussed and intrigued by the remaining materials.
