We used the projector both in the gym and in the
classroom today. The large amount of open space in the gym seems to encourage the
students to play in a big and very physical way with light and shadows. We saw lots of full body shadows in the gym. Then, when we used the projector in the room, the students used the projector in a more contained manner. We saw lots of objects and favorite items (like letters) on the wall and less of our bodies. The students seemed more curious
about the items that could be used on the projector, rather than how the
movement of their own bodies would make shadows.

Noam: This is shaped like a door.
It can be fun to use large empty boxes for building. The physical task alone of moving the boxes from place to place is a welcomed challenge for these eager movers.
Natan will use almost anything as drum sticks! Maybe we need an actual drum for the classroom!
Misha immediately recognized "M"..."M for Misha". It seemed like he wanted to hold the M like he does when he finds it on the light table. It looked like he wanted to take it off the wall. He was encouraged to explore where the actual M was.
Natan went to the zoo this past weekend and saw an actual eagle! This morning he, before leaving his home he said, "Eagle. School." How wonderful that he wanted to share the toy eagle he got at the zoo with his friends at school!
French with Deb.
Impromptu mixing session with water, daffodils, spoons, and later colors to talk about how to make green.
Mixing yellow and blue.
We had some new face arrangements today. Ethan mixed Flynn and Noam.
Flynn wanted to sit on top of all the boxes. Janet helped him do that at the end of the day.
